What are grandparent’s rights in Texas?
There a lot of issues regarding the state of the law on grandparent rights in Texas. Grandparents must have standing to bring a suit or to intervene in a current suit and once standing is established it is difficult to pursue custody/conservatorship or visitation rights with a grandchild. However, under certain circumstances the court will consider the requests of a grandparent and award custody/conservatorship or visitation rights in accordance with the facts in that case.
